This role will be responsible for designing, maintaining and supporting all aspects of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment. This role will provide technical guidance to team members in managing Oracle Cloud instance configurations, enterprise applications and Oracle database administration. They will work with the implementation partner and business leadership to help project teams with the implementation and maintenance of cutting-edge cloud technology, business and enterprise software solutions. They will work with architects, developers, business users, and leads to ensure that project deliverables are aligned with desired business processes and IT design standards. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 8 years’ experience of hands-on experience working in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle database administration, Oracle Integrated Cloud, experience in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS implementations, and a team player and leader that is reliable, enthusiastic, committed, creative, and customer focused. This role also requires strong collaboration skills to focus on technical and operational work in a continuously evolving environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments and resources
Develop and maintain automation scripts for cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and availability of OCI resources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud architecture best practices.
Ensure security and compliance standards are met across all OCI deployments.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and DBAs.
Stay up to date with the latest OCI features, new technologies, and industry trends.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
15-20 years of experience in Information Technology.
10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, focusing on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of OCI services, including Compute, Storage, Networking, DBaaS and ADB Database platforms
Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, OCI services, and architecture.
Strong understanding of FinOps (Financial Operations) and measuring cost in the cloud
Understanding of Cloud backup and monitoring technologies. Knowledge of Rubrik is a plus.
Proficiency in OCI administration tasks, including user management, resource provisioning, and networking configuration.
Proficient in database migrations to the clouds - OCI and AWS
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Skilled in configuring high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Working knowledge and experience using Oracle tools i.e. Goldengate, Oracle Enterprise Manager and Dataguard
Ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures
Skills in monitoring and optimizing the performance, scalability, and availability of cloud resources.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification(s).
Oracle database administration version 19c and higher
Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of database administration and optimization.
