Job responsibilities:

  • Supports and leads aspects of the operational administration of the privacy program.
  • Supports internal stakeholders such as Legal, IT, Information Security, Vendor management and various business units globally across the Company to ensure that internal controls are in place to mitigate privacy risks.
  • Support OneTrust's Trust Intelligence Platform, required setup and configurations.
  • Evaluate diverse data to identify patterns, draw conclusions, and prioritize remediation using risk management concepts.
  • Supports and implements privacy risk management strategies
  • Monitor identified and emerging risks, measure internal control effectiveness, and develop and own action items to remediate identified risk issues. Contributes to initial and periodic privacy assessments in conjunction with third-party vendor risk assessments; makes recommendations and presents conclusions, and maintains critical information in data privacy repository systems
  • Consults on the development of business requirements for new system implementations and enhancements
  • Compiles metrics and prepares routine reports for presentation to management and the Privacy Office governance bodies (e.g., the Privacy Committee and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors); Develops and maintains key routine management reports, presentations, and metrics to measure the operation and effectiveness of the company’s privacy program
  • Leads aspects of the operational implementation of changes to the Company’s privacy training courses, including the tracking and oversight of completion of required training assignments. May develop FAQ documentation or simple training or communication packages with oversight from line manager or the Company’s privacy attorneys.
  • Oversees and assists with the administration of the Privacy Office’s intranet page and case management system
  • Provides operational support to facilitate the Company’s response to data subject rights requests.
  • Organizes and maintains all privacy office documentation and artifacts in designated departmental document repositories. Oversees and assists with the development of draft documentation or templates
  • Develops, implements, and maintains departmental record keeping
  • Supports process improvements, drive Global Data Privacy projects to completion and performs special assignments and projects as needed.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in roles such as Business Analyst, Auditor, Risk Management, Information Security, Data Governance, Data Discovery, IT Program Management Officer. Bachelor's degree in information systems and technology is a plus.
  • Industry certifications such as a CDPSE, CISA, CIPM, CIPT is a plus  
  • Possesses experience in executing technology and process related audits
  • Experience in executing audits within an IT environment is preferred
  • In-depth operational knowledge in testing internal controls related to data protection
  • Experience in executing assessments of organization’s compliance with privacy regulations including information security regulations
  • Knowledge of MS Access, MS Excel, MS Project, SQL, Oracle databases and/or any programming language and numeric computing environment would be nice to have
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy, regulations and applicable international standards (e.g. ISO 27001, ISO 27701, NIST etc.)
  • Possesses understanding of state-of-the-art technological and organizational security controls
  • Good analytical, creative problem-solving and risk assessment skills
  • Possesses ability to understand technical concepts, and a desire to find business-oriented solutions to complex problems
  • Possesses excellent relationship-building, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possesses high degree of integrity and business acumen
  • Prior experience working in/with the pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare or medical device industry or global organization is a plus.
