Summary
Executing all assigned payroll operational tasks and special projects, as instructed by the Payroll Manager. Payroll processing includes entering all new hires and terminations for a 2000+ multijurisdictional employee base payroll, special payments, garnishments, deduction changes, timesheet data collected from Time and Labor system, and other miscellaneous payroll data.
Essential Functions
1. Processes employee data (new hires, changes, additional earnings, and benefit deductions) from the HR system
of record to the payroll system
2. Processes employee Time & Attendance data from the Time & Labor system to payroll, including validating
time data using standard reports. Informing and interacting with employees to correct timesheet
reporting problems.
3. Ensures employees’ state and local tax initial setup is accurate and in compliance with state and local
regulations
4. Processes and maintains all employee garnishments
5. Performs all biweekly payroll close procedures & produces reports
6. Assists with producing and reviewing the US and Canadian employees tax forms.
7. Performs other payroll related tasks
8. Organizes payroll related supporting data to ensure completeness of employee files
9. Communicates any pay-related issues to management and other payroll staff
10. Assists with workers compensation audits and any state payroll tax related notices.
