Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system which typically emerges between the ages of 18-49. Biopharmaceutical companies continue to grow disease awareness with non-product specific advertising, with approximately $145.3M in annual OTC spend.

Patients diagnosed with schizophrenia may experience symptoms of hallucinations, delusions, negative symptoms, cognitive issues and disorganized thoughts. More than 5.9M office visits were associated with schizophrenia in the 12 months ending May 2021.

Migraine - updated



Migraines are an intense and sometimes debilitating type of headache that cause throbbing head pain. The pain is often on one side of the head but can affect both sides. Sufferers may also experience nausea, vomiting, dizziness and extreme sensitivity to sound, light, touch and smell. Migraines can last hours or, for some sufferers, even days.  Migraine (ICD-10 G43) accounted for 8.4M visits to office-based HCPs, in the 12 months ending April  2021.







The American Medical Association reported 10,553 office-based dermatologists and 1,792 hospital-based dermatologists actively practicing in the United States as of 2019. Dermatologists treat thousands of conditions such as skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, acne, roscea and hair loss, among many others. They accounted for nearly 27 million office visits in the 12 months ending May 2021.

Cancer, also called malignancy, is characterized by the development of abnormal cells that divide uncontrollably and have the ability to spread throughout the body and destroy normal body tissue. There are more than 100 types of cancer, including breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, skin cancer, prostate cancer and lymphoma. According to the American Cancer Society, in 2021 alone, there will be an estimated 1.9M new cancer cases and 609K cancer deaths.






In 2020 and early 2021, promotional spend for vaccine brands—nottreating against COVID-19— saw increases at or near launch spend levels. HPVand shingles (herpes zoster) vaccine promotion dominated the market both on a branded and unbranded/condition-specific level.






Breast Cancer





According to the CDC, breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the United States.



Diabetes - updated



The most common type of diabetes is type 2 diabetes. In type 2, the body does not use insulin properly. While some patients may manage their type 2 diabetes with diet adjustments and exercise, others may become dependent on drug therapy or insulin.

Arthritis most commonly consists of joint pain, stiffness and tenderness. There are over 100 types of arthritis that present with different symptoms, locations and treatment options.
